Research shows that the more alcohol advertisements youth see, the more likely they are to drink and to drink in excess. That’s why we are fighting to protect underage consumers from the marketing tactics of the alcohol industry.
In light of new research by Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, Public Citizen and other consumer advocate groups sent a letter to the three largest alcohol trade association
demanding that the alcohol industry strengthen and enforce its advertising codes to prevent youth from viewing inappropriate and harmful alcohol advertisements.
